Bluejay Recording Artist Nat Simpkins has over 30 years experience playing and performing in NYC and New Orleans with the Count Basie Band, Neville Brothers, Marsalis Family etc.
Can double on piano and Bass. His CD Crescent City was #1 on the jazzweek Charts for national Radio airplay and was heard coast to coast on every major jazz radio Station. It was also #35 for
the year of all jazz records released in 2002. His style is known as the Texas Tenor school of King Curtis, Stanley Turrentine and Gene Ammons. Nat has been teaching students of all levels and styles for over 30 years also.
