My name's Hayley, I'm 18 years old and have been playing alto sax on and off for about 4 years but have spent the last year really improving my playing. I reached Grade 5 when I took lessons after one year, having previously reached Grade 4 standard on flute, but gave up lessons because of the expense and I was taking my GCSE exams at the time. I have good sight reading skills and have started learning the theory behind jazz and blues improvisation which I hope will allow me to write my own music with practice. I love to play all types of saxophone music from jazz to soul to classical to rock as long as it is good fun!
