Currently on my Last year at University in BMus (Hons) Jazz, Popular and Commerical Music. I play Soprano, Alto and Tenor Saxophone and I also compose music in a variety of styles. I have been listening and playing music from a young age of 2 starting on violin and piano and then progressed on the Saxophone.

Well my name is Francesco Borg and I play saxophone. I live in Glasgow. I originally come from Malta a tiny island in the Mediterranean. Then i moved to the UK to gain experience. I always wanted to take music as a careers because it's something that I enjoy doing. At the moment I'm on the final year of studying B.Mus.(Hons) Jazz Popular and Commercial Music at Newcastle Upon Tyne, The Sage Gateshead, UK. I have been playing since I was a young child starting on violin and piano. And often I used to go see live venues in any genre. Then as years goneby I took more interest in the Saxophone because I love the sound. I was inspired by many musicians such as Kenny Garrett, Snake Davis, Kenny G and many sax players old and recent. I am classically trained i went to the junior academy in RSAMD for 3 years. I used to go to Douglas Academy a music school dedicated to music. I was often playing with the school bands. I played in a Big Band as well but this is only a community band. We did lots of concerts and play in events and venues example Cancer Research etc. I used to compete in the Argyll Festival and Kintyre Festival when i was around the age of 13 and 15 i came first twice in kintyre festival. I attended Perth College, UHI Millenium Institute studying Popular Music playing Soprano,Alto and Tenor saxophone in a variety of styles. I played styles such as Classical, Jazz, Pop, Bigband, Rock and Funk. In my pass time I like to listen to music, hanging out with friends and other musicians. I also like travelling i went to the British Championship with a Brass Band where i played Percussion and we came third i was pleased and it was a great experience playing along other young musicians. I toured around Brtiain during my scholastic years. At the moment i am trying to find a good career in music maybe in functions such as Weddings and Parties. I wish to gain experience in playing with a professional band or artist. Also I have passion for composing in a variety of style including soundtracks. In my life I have and had many influences Yanni, Vangelis, Paul Mauriat, Ennio Morricone, Jethro Tull, James Galway, Henry Mancini, Karl Jenkins, John Williams and many others. Apart from music I also like playing football or soccer with my friends, I like going to the gym. I do love cooking.
