I have taught for 30+ years in the Chicagoland area. Graduated in 75 with BA in Music Ed. Have played in several wedding/lounge/rock bands for 30+ as well. Have been involved in composing classical and blues/jazz music for a CD, and private commissions.
I graduated college as a French Horn major but switched to sax afterwords to be more relevant to the bands I was playing in. Regarding Orchestral playing, I did have that experience on the Horn.
And my jazz is more of a jazz/blues/contemporary approach rather than straight ahead jazz. |
