Dieter is a freelance saxophonist in the New York City area. He received his bachelor's degree in music education from Ithaca College in 2001 under the direction of Dr. Steven Mauk, professor of saxophone. After a few years of teaching high school choir and band in Las Vegas, NV, Dieter moved to New York City to attend graduate school at NYU where he studied jazz saxophone with Dave Pietro and Ralph Lalama. He now concentrates on performance in the jazz/funk/fusion idioms and frequently plays with The Jazz Assassins -- a duo consisting of Vince Marrone on guitar and Bob Wilson on bass .
