David Clay began his music education in the Fort Worth ISD band program in his 3rd grade of school when he began playing the clarinet. He continued in the FWISD band program, adding the tenor saxophone and jazz bands to his study.
At the time of his graduation from Paschal High School in 1971, he participated in all aspects of the music program which included marching band, concert band, stage band, and music theory studies. As a high school student at R. L. Paschal High School in Ft. Worth, Mr. Clay was selected as a member of the All-Star Jazz Bands at competitions at Tarleton State University, Stephen F. Austin State University, the Brownwood Music Festival, and the Castleberry High School Music Festival. He was also selected as the outstanding jazz musician of Greater Southwest Music Festival, a six state competition held in Amarillo, Texas.
After playing one year in college, Mr. Clay auditioned for and was accepted by the U.S. Air Force Band. Mr. Clay has played professionally for 30 years. Mr. Clay has been certified to work with second language learners through Baylor University, and Mr. Clay has experience working with ESL musicians. In addition to his ESL students here in the United States, he has also taught at the Guangxi Music and Arts College in Guangxi Province, China. |

My fees are $85.00 per month for a 30 minute lesson every week payable on the first lesson of each month.
I also teach guitar, clarinet, and flute. |
